Thanks for the compliment! It took me a lot of hours of pondering and thought to construct that post, it's such a sticky subject- not one that I even wanted to tackle.
I enjoyed that article. Her arguments were well written and thought out. I have trouble with this whole thing. I side with the Mormon church of course, but part of me doesn't really care. until I think about the repercussions it could have on the education and upbringing of my own children. once I started thinking about the effect it would have on the thinking of future generations, I realized that I DO oppose gay marriage. I used to just think "who cares? whos is it going to hurt?" our future children.
Yeah, I feel the same way Katie. In one sense it's like "its their life, let them live it how they choose". But then it never stops at that, then a new generation is affected.
Hmmmm...about me. This is my blog that I've set up to be just for my thoughts, many of them spiritual in nature, that I didn't want to be mixed in with my home fixer-upper tips. These are things that shape my view of the world, they affect every big decision I make, and hopefully direct the smaller ones also.
God, family, and work ethics are a brief summary of what I think is of the utmost importance. The detailed version.....well that is the purpose of this blog.

I try to be informed. I try not to make mistakes. But I am human. I will try to never offend anyone, but if I do offend you, know that I am sorry and that was not my intent. If I do offend you, know that I in no way represent the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints except for that I am an imperfect member who is trying to do better. I appreciate reader's who do their best to try and see where I am coming from, and I will try to extend the same courtesy in return. I welcome any constructive dialogue.
