As far as politicians go, I have to say that the small amount of background info that I have read on the new Republican vice presidential candidate impresses me.
She's really, really cool; and I agree with her on almost every political issue.
She makes this Republican ticket much more appealing...too bad McCain is on it, I really think he is a slime ball.
I think that Obama is a fantastic orator and he has a very presidential bearing...but I think he is very wrong about most important issues so I could never support him.
What a pickle this election has me in.

I do believe I'm in the same pickle Carmen. Mc Cain gives me the eeby jeebies!
How do I tell you why I like Hillary in one little comment? 1. Her policies for National healthcare 2. Her plans for changing No Child Left Behind (sounds good only in the title, when in actuality it makes the good schools better and the bad schools worse)... I was about to just list everything, but I am just going to say that besides agreeing with her on everything except immigration policies (and I did not agree with a single candidate who ran), I also think that she is a go-getter. She comes up with a plan, and finds the people to back her. She doesn't just talk, talk, talk about things with no firm plan (Obama). I know she is criticized for her brashness sometimes, or other things the weak, submissive woman may disdain, but I think it is the only way she would have made it as a female president (esp. to all the old, white, men who are crapping in their pants about a woman being president). SO yeah, that is why! ( Well that is a shortened version of why!) I get a little worked up.
I just read that, and realized I sounded mad, but I am really not. And I am not trying to offend anyone, I am just heated from having to defend my opinion all the time.
No worries, I always feel the same way. I can get pretty adamant in what I believe and that zeal can sometimes be miscontrued as anger. But, this would be something that I would really love to talk about more with you because I love a good talk with someone who has an opinion and it is not the same one as me...I like it just as much, if not more than when talking with someone I agree with. It is thought provoking.
I agree! And it is nice to talk to people about things like this who have informed opinions... rather than the usual people I talk to who just say they love/hate someone/thing they really know nothing about. That makes me the most irritated!
